A short reflection about gov't employee

What do you do to make your living wealthier and feel secure? Most parents are likely want their kids to apply for gov’t employee. I’ve heard a lot of complain from friends of mine about this pressure. Some of them are just following this path and get trapped within the system. the only option to get out from this is by paying for the penalty.

When I was visiting Indramayu a few weeks ago, I got some surprising facts about the budget allocated for the gov’t employee. The budget proportion between program and overhead is 30% and 70%. An official told me the overall budget from the national government is 1,4 trillion. So the budget for the development program in Indramayu is 420 billion rupiahs per year. As an addition, this proportion is being implemented in all region in Indonesia. Nice!

The assumption is by making the employee being wealth at first, the program will be well-implemented. The fact is there’s no good at all. Being on top country with the highest corruption rate in Asia, this budget will surely be corrupted in high amount and you can imagine how the development process would be well-implemented just in your dream.

I wonder, by looking at these fact, it’s clear that being a gov’t employee is a position which will guarantee your life. But do you realize that your life is made by the poor? Then I wonder with a lot of friend of mine whose trying to live in comfort by joining the gov’t employee no matter how they will be put in any division or department.

I just wondering, when I look at the condition in Indramayu where the education rate is only at 6th grade on average, there’s only one university, and private sector has not developed as well, the PNS seems to live in wealth with their facilities, good body treatment. On the other hand they don’t really have a good work ethic

However, I have some visionary friends who apply for gov’t employee to make a chance. The problem with them is they are likely powerless to make a change within the system itself. Now that I imagine what would like it be for the person who apply for it without any clear vision and look for convenience.
