Hanoi day 1: knowing

Knowing people from ASEAN countries is really interesting. I met Cambodian, Lao, Vietnamese, Burmese, and Philippines. Oh yeah there’s also Indian and Chinese! They have their own accent in speaking English. For me, Indian and Philippines have the clearest pronunciation compared to others.

In the night we’re going to the town headquarter as if in Bunderan HI Jakarta in a mini version. And when it comes to dinner, we prefer to have it at KFC. This is the only one KFC in Hanoi. The cashier was counted the bill by calculator! Haha so at first we ordered the menu at the first floor and then took our order at the second floor. The food is less delicious compared to KFC in Jakarta. that’s it.

In the headquaters there’s a lot of place to buy souvenir. The price is relatively cheap and we can use both US Dollars and Vietnamese Dong. For your information, to get Vietnamese Dong first you should convert your rupiahs into US Dollars!

Oh yeah, in Vietnam Facebook is being banned. But people told me that they can still access it and in addition we can still access it in our hotel. When I want to pray and look for a mosque, that’s a problem since there are almost no moslem in Hanoi. Luckily, the chef from Malaysia offers me his room. What a luxury! He told me that he got a room in this hotel as a worker and all he got is luxury facility in his everyday life!

To be continued..
